ADDITIONAL RP HISTORY: played out with Rude-not-Ginger and various others between the year 2007 and 2009 on Livejournal.

Following the events of Doomsday, Rose Tyler was trapped on the other side of the void. While working for Torchwood, she came across an odd transmission that was coming through the white noise in the Void. Rather than allow it to simply go beyond her, she opted to try and sort it out. Through a lot of work, Rose managed to manipulate the gap in the white noise to allow for her and the Doctor to communicate. Over the span of a few days, she manages to reach the Doctor, she manages to communicate with him and they find a way for her to come back. The signal turned out to be secret transmissions between a race known as the Eternals. They were looking to get back someone that had been misplaced on the other side of the void. The Doctor manages to negotiate it so that they can exchange and so that Rose can come with and be returned to them. [full arc of RP for her return]

When she's returned to the Doctor - they begin their adventures again. Most of their trips follow along with the path of a small group of people from one version of Earth. The majority of her time is spent circling around the thought of helping Sam Winchester break the deal that Dean Winchester signed to save his brother. They try numerous things and when they realize that they cannot break the deal, the Doctor and Rose argue about helping Sam with his fight. [log] Sam has opted to put together a huge strike team to fight against the powers of Hell that would come for Dean. The Doctor and Rose decide that they will help, that she wants to help and that they can provide a great resource. Knowing that it is a long shot, and that they might not make it back, the Doctor takes Rose to what's left of Gallifrey. They spent three days there, before the Doctor leaves Rose behind. He goes to the battle alone, leaving Rose trapped on Gallifrey.

When he returns for her, all he has left to tell her is that Dean died. That they couldn't change things. [log]

+ I plan on taking Rose from a few months after Dean's death. I will be implying that she started to look into ways to go back, to save Dean since she hadn't been there, she could technically go back and fix it. This way I can have her determined to get back, using the TaRDiS to help her hop through timelines and force her into 2010 without the TaRDiS. I'll be implying that she found an old Vortex Manipulator that had been broken and she managed to get it to work so that if she could find the right time, she could leave without the Doctor knowing. She'll believe she's found it, pop down, and then be stuck with her one-way trip since she now has no way of telling the Doctor where she is and no way of getting back.

personality }

Rose Tyler, Defender of Earth. Once upon a time, she was just a shop girl spending her days eating chips and hanging out with her mates between trying to sleep in. She lived with her mum, Jackie, who had raised her alone after her father had passed away when she was a baby. She didn't have very many aspirations to do much of anything, and looked at her job at Henrik's purely as something to fill the time and give her pocket money. She had dropped out of school before finishing her A-Levels and wasn't a fan of school on any level. Her life was on a path of autopilot for the most part and she seemed content to let it continue this way.

However, a chance encounter with a man who introduced himself as simply the Doctor saved her life with a word - "Run." From that point on she seemed to look at the world a bit differently, as if the way she'd been living had been fit to the world she knew. Now with new-found knowledge of what exactly was out there she felt renewed and as if she could have some actual purpose. The Doctor offered her a chance to travel with him, and once it was traveling through time and space and she accepted it without hesitation.

As much as Rose needed the Doctor to show her the extraordinary things in the world and how she had a place in it all, the Doctor needed her to help heal his wounds from the Time War. Her heart, compassion, and sense of humor over time wore down the Doctor's defenses and after being with him for a while she knew she'd have done anything for him. She proves this point by breaking into the TARDIS when he's sent her home and away from danger. His directions to forget him and to live her life the way she had before isn't acceptable to her at all.

In an act that is slightly selfish, since she doesn't want to live a normal life anymore, Rose opens the heart of the TARDIS and takes in the time vortex. She transforms herself into the Bad Wolf an experience that she doesn't recall the details of until her own consciousness reawakens. Overcome with the whole of reality and all of time crammed into her head the Doctor reabsorbs it into himself with a kiss. This triggers a regeneration which Rose is witness to, and once more she fears the worst and wishes for the Doctor to return.

It takes her a bit to get used to the idea of this new look to her Doctor, but she knows him well enough to know that it's still the same man. Through her travels she saves world, defends Earth from invasion and the random events. Her determination and drive to be the person that the Doctor knows she can be pushed her forward. During events at Canary Wharf Rose is separated from the Doctor, which is heartbreaking to her since by this time she has come to realize that she loves him.

A final farewell on the beaches of Bad Wolf Bay isn't enough for her and she beings to try and find a way back to him, and back to the life she missed. Building a dimension cannon she propels herself through the dimensional walls, but in doing this she discovers a grander plot that's putting worlds and universes at risk. Once she fixes the timeline to the way it was meant to be with the help of Donna Noble, she is reunited with the Doctor finally to save the world once more. Joined by those Rose knew from her travels, and others that were companions of the Doctor the team save the Earth and a few other planets from the Daleks.

Rose is full of compassion, with a slight side of selfishness. She takes on challenges and looks at everything as an adventure. It’s not a point of view that she’s always had, but it’s the woman that she’s grown into. She tries not to think of the dangers or the risks and instead looks for the challenge and how she can help out. She can be a brat, at times, and has a healthy sense of humor. She loves food and will try anything once, even if it seems like it should still be alive.

Asking questions is a big part of how she learns things and she will always look to try and find the peaceful way out of a situation. She’s loyal and devoted, with a determination that can put most others to shame. She’ll never give up and has gone to extreme lengths to ensure that she doesn’t give up hope on those that she believes in.

It was amazing, incredible even. The way it just melted in her mouth and overwhelmed her senses. She would be silly to stop eating it now.

Now, Rose would’ve been the first to admit that it had looked a bit suspicious. A purple, gelatinous blob that seemed to follow her, when she swayed back and forth, didn’t look like it was the most edible thing. Curiosity got the better of her as she pointed to it and watched the worker slide it onto her tray. It was still staring at her, even without having actual eyes. It wobbled as she walked back to the table with the tray. The Doctor had watched her, clearly amused by her situation.

Taking her seat across from him, she lifted an eyebrow, “Oh, you’re all smiles, now.”

”Well, I’m waiting for you to experience it for yourself.”

Rose remembered the smirk, the way he had made it seem as if it’d be horrendous. That he’d need to rush her to the bathroom or a planet that had a hospital prepared to deal with a human. Still, now with it in her mouth, she wasn’t even thinking about leaving. If anything, she was thinking about going back up there and try the blue one too. Maybe the orange.

“So, what is it? Mean, it’s not squid, not jellyfish either. If it was - we’d have been eating this every day,” Rose asked the question, mouth full, to the Doctor.

”Ictho Ice. Think... cake if it decided to up and marry ice cream, then have a kid. Then that kid goes to University, meets a sorbet, then decides to marry them and they have a kid. Then that kid--”

Rose put her hand up. “Stop right there. All the interfood-breeding is ruining the taste of this.”

”What? It’s not … oh, well, guess I was sort’v makin’ it a bit. So, when’re we going to be cleared to leave, Miss Tyler?”

“We have to leave? There’s forty-one other colors.” Rose beamed at the Doctor, “Figured I’d try them all.”
